The Northeastern Laboratory of Evaluation and Development of Biomaterials (CERTBIO) operates in the research, development, and evaluation of biomaterials. Moreover, it is involved in the scientific training of undergraduate and graduate students.
With regards to the characterization tests and services provided to the Unified Health System and the community in general, it has already established itself as playing an important role in the health system in line with the actions of the Ministry of Health in the field of Science, Technology and Inputs Strategic, more precisely within the scope of the Health Industrial Complex and within the structure of ANVISA.
The area of biomaterials brings together a series of products of varying complexity related to the various health sectors.

Bright Photomedicine is a health knowledge company that pioneered the use of photobiomodulation, a customized pattern of light emission that acts to relieve musculoskeletal pain and inflammation.
