Welcome to Certech Biomaterials

Here, research comes to life.

Certech Biomaterials was founded in 2019, with the need to do business with companies through the technology transfer of products that are researched and developed in universities, to reduce the gap between the science that is developed in the laboratories of universities and the needs of the biomaterials market.

CERTECH BIOMATERIALS is an academic spin-off, which develops innovative technologies, products, and processes with social impact, with the participation of UFCG graduates.

Who we are

Our main activity is to generate economic value for innovations developed from academic research at universities and public and private institutions.

The technology transfer model represents the interrelationships between universities, governments, and companies to bring products developed in laboratories to the market.

About our business

Commitment with excellence

Certech BIOMATERIALS is a spin-off, where technology transfer processes are carried out so that, in addition to the role of generating knowledge and innovations of universities, the need to meet business and social demands is added.

Brazil is the largest Latin American market for medical devices, with around 6,500 hospitals and a population of over 210 million. These devices are 80% imported, which makes them quite expensive. The use of national products developed at universities would lead to a decrease in these costs.
